PTA

Who are we?

Every Parent/Carer, who has a child at Blackwell Primary School, is automatically a member of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA is run by a committee made up of parents and school staff, who meet regularly throughout the year.  You do not have to be on the committee to come to the meetings, everyone is extremely welcome. The committee arranges events, and then enlists the help of other parents to support and run them.

If you can’t attend meetings, but would like to be kept in touch, then let us know your email address and all Meeting Minutes and information can be emailed to you. Please get in touch by emailing us at:  blackwellpta@outlook.com.

How do we achieve our aims?

This is done by organising and running various social events throughout the school year, to raise money which is passed on to the school to purchase items on the schools ‘wish list’.

In the past, events have included termly school discos for the children, Easter Bonanza, Summer Fair and a Fashion Show Evening for the parents.

These events take a lot of organising, so we are always looking for helpers. If you feel you can spare the time to join the committee, or would simply be willing to help at an event, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at: blackwellpta@outlook.com via the School Office, or just come along to one of our meetings.

Your support is invaluable, thank you.

Where the money goes

Although the PTA usually has a larger project that they are aiming towards, the money raised also goes back to the children in other ways, on a daily basis and subsidising trips.

Blackwell School PTA is a member of Parentkind, formerly PTA UK.
